On these days 5th-7th November 1918: three Derbyshire men are the last battle casualties

4486/241535 L/Cpl Edward Caleb Tanner DCM MM killed in action aged 21 and buried in Near West end of PRISCHES COMMUNAL CEMETERY. Son of Arthur and Sarah E. C. Tanner, of King St., Ashbourne, Derbyshire.

2124/240424 Pte Bernard James Bland died of wounds aged 22 and buried in ST. SEVER CEMETERY EXTENSION, ROUEN. Son of Frank and Emily Bland, of 48, Storforth Lane Terrace, Hasland, Chesterfield. A Pre-War Territorial who served with A” Company and was wounded on 8.8.15 at Zillebeke.

93877 Pte George Frank Johnson MM died of wounds and buried in PREMONT BRITISH CEMETERY

118547 Pte Charles Walker died of wounds aged 24 and buried in PREMONT BRITISH CEMETERY. Son of John and Caroline Walker, of Marehay, Ripley, Derby; husband of Martha Ann Walker, of The Green, Heage, Belper, Derby.
